Getting through to every student—
In math, as in life, there’s almost always more than one way to solve a problem. That’s why at Peace of Pi we always offer multiple solutions, tailoring the approach to each student, finding what works for them.
Here’s a secret: not everyone wants to become an engineer or mathematician. Not everyone has the same goals. There’s a lot of us who just need that 50-point SAT jump to secure a scholarship like Florida Bright Futures, or to pass that math or science class that’s been hijacking your semester.
Just need to better understand a topic to pass a test (or class)? We’ve got a packet for that.
You’re a super genius that wants to squeeze every possible point out of the SAT? We’ve got a packet for that.
Find yourself somewhere in the middle of the road? We’ve got a packet for you too.
Our mission is to turn math roadblocks into stepping stones on the path to success (as cheesy as that sounds). That’s why we tailor our method to every student, whatever their background, learning style, financial situation, schedule load, or scholastic goals.
With several pricing options ranging from private tutoring ($$$) to small and large group packages ($), to customizable class sizes, to choosing live tutoring or pre-recorded content, we have the format that works for you.
Wherever you find yourself, we’ve got you covered. You deserve the best when you’re aiming for the best.
Renan De Souza
What became Peace of Pi grew organically as an offshoot of caring. Our founder, Renan De Souza began tutoring in 2014, and in an effort to get through to every student, found himself staying up late, stapling study guides, reviews, and tailor-made content for each group of students—over the years he amassed a collection of thousands of practice problems and video solutions, and ended up with a bullet-proof program.
Renan is an Ivy League Alumnus, and has been teaching in public high schools and tutoring privately since graduating from Cornell University.
While offering tutoring services for all math and science courses from Algebra and Geometry, through AP Calculus and AP Physics, Renan specializes in standardized testing, with a particular affinity for the SAT Math. Renan has deep experiential knowledge of the SAT, which he cultivates and keeps up-to-date by sitting for the exam several times a year. Renan has attained a perfect 800 on the Math section nine times in the past three years alone.
