When I discovered Peace of Pi Learning, I had already begun SAT math tutoring with another tutor, but didn’t feel confident that I was going to be able to reach my maximum potential. I have always been good with numbers and never struggled in school with math, but I was stressed because I thought that I wouldn’t be able to submit a good enough score to apply for competitive colleges. I saw a former student repost their score improvement on the POP Instagram. As I began scrolling through the posts, I encountered multiple 100+ point improvements!
After meeting with Renan he showed me the way he had his Math Prep Course organized and it was clear that it was no joke. He had videos of explanations for each question in over 15 SAT practice tests! After completing the course, I can confidently say that there is no doubt in my mind that Renan and his team will take every single one of their students to their maximum potential. From his organization of levels for every type of student, to the specific way he introduces each topic,it is almost impossible for you not to understand as long as you’re doing your part.
The group learning dynamic worked perfectly and it didn’t take away from the attention that Renan could have on each individual student. He made sure everyone understood everything and was always available to answer your questions, even if you ask him something on a random day and not during the tutoring session.
I reached my maximum potential in understanding all the topics imagianable. I have a score of 720 right now after starting with a 580. I am confident that I will even be able to acquire a better score and avoid some silly mistakes on the test. This result has made me less stressed in senior year and improved my chances of getting into all the colleges that I will be applying to.
Everything about the course is great but if I had to highlight one thing it would be the videos explaining every question. They are what I relied on the most in the last two weeks of my prep. If I had one piece of advice it would be to do a practice section as often as possible and go back to watch the videos of the problems you got wrong. Renans videos can be as short as 30 seconds to maximum 2 minutes and they explain the problem as simply as if it was “2+2!”
