Hi, my name is Freddy Romero, I’m a Junior at Doral Academy, and I want to tell you about my experience with Peace of Pi Learning. When it came to being prepared for my SAT, I was completely lost.  I had just struggled through pre-calculus and was feeling very unconfident about taking on the SAT math section. My uncle recommended I look into Peace of Pi Learning’s SAT tutoring services. I decided to sign up for their virtual tutoring program. Given my past struggles with math, I was skeptical that virtual learning would keep me engaged enough to absorb the material. I also had preconceived notions that the instructor would be an older professor type who would just lecture at us. However, my experience with Peace of PiLearning shattered those assumptions.

The virtual classroom environment was incredibly interactive. We were constantly doing practice problems and submitting answers, so I never found my mind wandering. The instructor also did a great job keeping things lively and relatable and understood how to connect with students my age. I was pleasantly surprised by how stimulating the virtual learning format could be.

Additionally, learning collaboratively in a small group format helped accelerate my progress. At first, I thought group learning would be annoying if I had to move at someone else’s pace. But it actually allowed me to learn from others’ mistakes and sharpen my skills through healthy competition. I formed friendships with like-minded peers, which made the learning experience fun. The group dynamic exceeded my expectations.

After completing the program, I scored a 680 on the SAT math section, qualifying me for the Bright Futures scholarship I needed for college. I credit this achievement to the excellent instructors and learning format at Peace of Pi. Despite my previous struggles with math, their tutoring gave me the knowledge and confidence to excel on the exam.
