“I no longer feel weighed down by standardized testing. I’m confidently chasing my college dreams, knowing that my improved scores give me a better shot at getting into top-notch institutions”
Hey everyone! I’m Andres Molina, and my journey with Peace of Pi started during my junior year at Belen Jesuit Preparatory School. It all began when I took a good look at my PSAT scores from 10th grade and realized I needed to step up my game for the SAT. I didn’t have a specific target score in mind at first, but I was determined to do better than before, especially since I wanted to snag some scholarships and do well academically.
Back then, math was a real challenge for me, especially Algebra II. I struggled to grasp the concepts taught in class and felt lost when tackling SAT math questions. It was tough, and with the pressure to perform, I often felt overwhelmed and unsure about how to improve.
Thankfully, my parents introduced me to Peace of Pi after hearing great things about it from friends. I was a bit skeptical at first, expecting big, impersonal classes, but I was pleasantly surprised. The personalized attention and interactive learning environment were a breath of fresh air compared to the remote learning experiences I had during the pandemic. With smaller class sizes and more engaging interactions with instructors, it felt like a whole new ball game.
Sure, the program required dedication and effort, but the results were totally worth it. By staying on top of my workload and planning my study sessions strategically, I made my way through the curriculum, gaining confidence and improving my skills along the way. The structured approach and the practice tests were game-changers, helping me boost my performance significantly.
And boy, did it pay off! My SAT score shot up from a 560 on the PSAT to an impressive 740—a whopping increase of 180 points. This not only opened up academic opportunities for me but also made me eligible for prestigious scholarships like the Bright Futures scholarship.
Now, as I head into my senior year, I no longer feel weighed down by standardized testing. I’m confidently chasing my college dreams, knowing that my improved scores give me a better shot at getting into top-notch institutions.
Looking back, my time with Peace of Pi was life-changing. It equipped me with the skills and confidence I needed to excel academically. I’m incredibly grateful to the dedicated instructors and supportive community at Peace of Pi for helping me achieve this milestone. As I dive into the next chapter of my academic journey, I carry with me the lessons learned and the unwavering belief that with determination and the right support, anything is possible.
