My name is Alejandro Moreno, and I’m currently in the 11th grade at Belen Jesuit Preparatory School. Before discovering Peace of Pi, I found myself in a bit of a panic. It was late August, and while chatting with friends, I realized that many of them had already begun their SAT preparations. Feeling completely unprepared, I knew I needed to take action.
While I had taken the PSAT during my sophomore year, I hadn’t given much thought to the SAT until then. Suddenly, it became clear that I needed to get serious about my prep. Initially, I considered self-studying, but after attempting a practice exam online, I quickly realized I needed more structured assistance.
That’s when I turned to Peace of Pi. Hearing positive feedback from friends who had already experienced the program, I decided to give it a shot. Additionally, my mom had heard about the program through previous students, further solidifying my decision.
Although I considered myself a decent math student, I recognized the need to focus on improving my math skills for the SAT. I had heard that reading was more challenging to study for, as it relied less on tricks and more on understanding the passages. With this in mind, I decided to prioritize math tutoring to maximize my scores.
The virtual group environment at Peace of Pi was exactly what I needed. Small group sizes and dedicated tutors provided the personalized attention and support I required. Compared to larger classrooms during Covid, the interactive and one-on-one approach was far more effective.
In describing the Peace of Pi program to others, I would say it’s tough, efficient, and effective. While it requires determination and hard work, the results speak for themselves. Thanks to Peace of Pi, I saw a significant improvement in my SAT scores, achieving a 1520 overall and an impressive 790 on the math section.
I am incredibly grateful for the support and flexibility provided by the Peace of Pi team. Their commitment to excellence and dedication to student success are truly commendable. Without their assistance, I wouldn’t have achieved the remarkable results I did.
