Hi! I’m Lola Shaoul, an 11th-grade student at Dr. Michael Krop Senior High, and I decided to join Peace of Pi after realizing my PSAT math score was not as high as I had hoped. Although I had always enjoyed and been good at math, the pandemic disrupted my learning, leaving gaps in my knowledge. I knew I needed a refresher to help me bring up my score.
After hearing positive feedback from friends and family, I decided to give Peace of Pi a try. The testimonials on their Instagram showed consistent improvements in students’ scores, so I felt confident about choosing this program amongst others. I had previously tried private tutoring, but it wasn’t as effective for me. I hoped the group learning environment at Peace of Pi would be different, and it was!
The course was everything a student could ask for and more. The instructors were engaging, relatable, and made sure we understood the material. The group learning environment helped keep me engaged and allowed me to benefit from other students’ questions and perspectives. I found the video explanations for each question particularly helpful, as they provided clear, step-by-step guidance.
One of the most valuable aspects of Peace of Pi was the accountability it provided. The instructors consistently checked in on my progress and ensured I completed the homework on time, especially in the Whatsapp chat. This structure helped me stay on track and motivated to achieve my goals.
Through Peace of Pi, I improved my math score from 520 to 720, a 200-point increase! I couldn’t believe it when I received my score. This improvement enabled me to secure a full Bright Futures scholarship and boosted my chances of getting into competitive colleges. The experience taught me the importance of hard work and dedication in achieving my goals.
