+170 points on the SAT Math!
“I came into the course with the mindset that I was going to give it my all, and it really paid off. “
I decided to join Peace of Pi after taking the SAT for the first time and realizing I didn’t remember how to solve many of the questions. I thought I should know them, but I felt lost. That’s when I realized I needed help, and Peace of Pi was exactly what I needed to get back on track.
Before the course, math had always been one of my stronger subjects, but this year, it became more difficult. I was struggling with my school math, and Peace of Pi really helped me not just with SAT prep but also with the math I was learning in class. It was amazing how the course helped me relearn and strengthen my skills.
I had heard from friends that the course required a lot of work, and they were right. But, honestly, putting in that work was totally worth it. My days were packed, and for a few weeks, it felt like the SAT prep was my whole life. I had to juggle school, extracurriculars, and homework, but I made it work by dedicating every spare moment to the course. I made sure to complete all my assignments, sometimes even between classes or at home. It felt intense, but it paid off.
Going into the virtual group sessions, I was a little nervous about whether I’d learn as much in a group setting. I worried it might be like Covid school again, but it turned out to be the opposite. I actually learned a lot from the other students’ questions, too. Sometimes, they’d ask something I didn’t even think about, and it helped me understand things better. It was a lot of work, but I really appreciated how the tutors were there to guide us through everything, live, helping us with assignments and concepts.
At first, I was concerned about the tutors being younger and closer to my age, but that ended up being a huge benefit. They had just gone through the same things I was experiencing with the SATs, so they really understood where I was coming from. They made it easy to connect with them, and they created a comfortable environment to ask questions without feeling judged.
One thing that really helped me stay on track was the constant encouragement to stay disciplined. The tutors would check in, remind us about assignments, and even text us in the group chat to get things done. It pushed me to stay accountable and not procrastinate, which made a big difference in my results.
After all that hard work, my math score improved by 170 points, from 580 to 750! I didn’t expect to get that high of a score, and it felt amazing. This score really helped ease the pressure of worrying about my English score too, because I now had a solid foundation with my math score.
I think the investment in Peace of Pi was totally worth it. The program is intense, but the results speak for themselves. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone who’s willing to put in the work. My biggest advice to future students would be to really focus on learning the material, not just completing assignments quickly. The effort you put in will pay off in the end.
If I had to do it all over again, I wouldn’t change a thing. I came into the course with the mindset that I was going to give it my all, and it really paid off. A 750 in math is more than I ever expected, and I’m so relieved to have achieved that!
