700 on the SAT Math!

Unlike typical online learning, it never felt passive—the tutors were always making sure we understood the material.

I wanted to start strong with a high score on my first SAT, so I decided to enroll in Peace of Pi’s SAT Math Prep Course before taking my first test. I’ve always been pretty good at math, but when I took the PSAT, I struggled with geometry, which was my weakest subject. I knew I needed structured preparation to make sure I didn’t face the same challenges on the actual SAT.

The group sessions on Zoom were the most valuable part of the program for me. The instructors made the classes interactive and kept everyone engaged by checking our answers and walking us through mistakes. Unlike typical online learning, it never felt passive—the tutors were always making sure we understood the material. I also liked that they had recently gone through the SAT themselves, so their advice felt relevant and fresh.

Balancing the prep course with my school workload was tough, especially since I take five AP classes, including AP Physics, which demands a lot of my time. The amount of practice assigned was challenging to keep up with, but the accountability from the tutors and group chats helped me stay on track. If I could give advice to other students, I’d say it might be easier to take the course over the summer to avoid juggling it with schoolwork.

In the end, my hard work paid off—I scored a 700 in SAT math. While I don’t have a previous SAT score to compare it to, I know how difficult it is to break into the 700 range, and I’m proud of what I achieved. I’ve also met the Bright Futures score requirement, so now I just need to complete my volunteer hours.

Overall, the investment was worth it, and for anyone looking to improve their SAT score, especially in math, this program is an effective way to do it.
