Before starting the program, my math scores were in the 400s, and that was a concern for me because I wanted higher scores to be able to apply to better colleges.
I found Peace of Pi through a friend who was also taking the course, and the program seemed like it would genuinely help. Going into it, I expected structured math tutoring where someone would walk me through problems step by step.
The virtual learning experience met my expectations. The tutors focused on explaining problems clearly and helping me understand how to approach each type of question. I was also surprised by how effective the group learning environment was. I expected it to be more chaotic, but we were separated into smaller groups, which made the sessions much more focused. Because of that structure, the group learning actually surpassed my expectations.
As a result of Peace of Pi, I improved my math score from a 430 to a 660. I plan to take the SAT again in March to continue improving, but this increase already made a big difference for me. It helped me feel much less worried about the math section going into both junior and senior year.
