+80 points on the SAT Math!
“A lot of my questions got answered, even when I didn’t ask them myself, because the other students in my group were often thinking the same thing.”
Seeing the success that Peace of Pi had with my brother and with other people I knew made me realize this was the kind of SAT prep I wanted. I knew that if I wanted to attend a strong college, I would need a strong SAT score, so I wanted a program that could really help me get there.
Going into the prep, I didn’t feel like my biggest issue was understanding the math concepts themselves. My main challenge was timing, especially on the harder questions at the end of the module. I knew the process, but I wanted to learn the shortcuts and improve my speed so I could spend more time where it mattered most.
This was my first real SAT prep course. Before that, I had only used free resources like Bluebook practice tests. Once I found Peace of Pi, I felt like it was the right way to take what I had already started learning and turn it into something more structured and effective.
At first, I wasn’t sure how I would feel about the virtual group format. I thought it might be limiting, and I wasn’t sure how much I would get out of learning online with other students. But after taking the course, I realized how helpful it actually was. Even when there were outside factors you couldn’t control, there were always ways to stay on track, and being in a group with other students at a similar level made the classes even more useful.
The four-hour classes sounded like a lot at first, but once I got into the routine, I saw why they were worth it. Between the breaks, the interaction with the tutor, and hearing other students’ questions, the time felt productive. It stopped feeling like “four hours” and started feeling like real progress.
One thing I really appreciated was how personalized the experience felt, even in a group setting. My tutor, Brianna, was very patient and did a great job understanding where everyone was. She knew when to slow down, when to reinforce a concept, and how to make sure the group was actually learning.
Managing the workload during the school year definitely took time management, but that ended up being a huge part of the process. I keep an agenda, and the estimated times next to each homework assignment helped me plan out what I needed to do each day. That made it much easier to balance school and prep at the same time.
The most helpful part of the course for me was the live classes. A lot of my questions got answered, even when I didn’t ask them myself, because the other students in my group were often thinking the same thing. Learning alongside people in the same situation made a big difference.
In the end, I scored a 720 in SAT Math and a 1330 overall, which was an 80-point improvement from my PSAT. I’m proud of that result, and it gave me a strong starting point for future test dates. It feels like a score that can open more doors and create more opportunities.
I’d definitely recommend Peace of Pi to other students. The program gives you a lot of resources, a lot of support, and a lot of structure. My biggest advice is to understand where your weak points are, use practice tests as a guide, and stay calm on test day. If you put in the work, the results will follow.
