+180 points on the SAT Math and +110 points on the SAT Reading!
“I decided to take both courses, and that was one of the best decisions I made in high school….”
I joined Peace of Pi during my sophomore year after seeing the amazing results my sister got—she ended with a 1450—and I knew I wanted the same kind of success for myself.
I started with the Math Prep Course first to build a strong foundation, and later took the Reading & Grammar Prep as well. I’ve always been stronger in English, but I actually enjoy math more. Even though my English score was higher at first, it still wasn’t where I wanted it to be, so I decided to take both courses, and that was one of the best decisions I made in high school.
Before Peace of Pi, I thought I knew English grammar and reading comprehension, but their program goes so much deeper. They teach you the “why” behind every rule, every comma, and every answer choice. In reading, I learned strategies like how to eliminate unnecessary parts of a sentence or how to simplify dense passages.
Math was a bigger challenge for me at first. I did Peace of Pi twice for math: the first round gave me the solid foundation I needed, and the second round really reinforced everything and helped me overcome the mental block I had around the test. After that, my math score jumped dramatically.
I took my first SAT in June 2024 and got a 560 in Math and 620 in Reading. One year later, after sticking with Peace of Pi and putting in the work, I scored a 740 in both Math and Reading: a total 1480. I didn’t super-score; I just consistently improved with every test. That score helped me qualify for 100% Bright Futures, and now I fall within the range for every Florida university I want to apply to—especially the University of Florida, which has always been my dream school.
The virtual classes were another thing I was nervous about at first. I’m someone who asks a lot of questions, so I worried that Zoom would make that harder, but it didn’t at all. From the first session, everything felt calm, welcoming, and collaborative. The teachers were patient, and asking questions never felt annoying or intimidating. The breakout rooms made it feel like a community, not just another online class.
And yes, the classes are long (4 hours a week for ten weeks) but they never felt like a waste of time. I think it really depends on how badly you want your score. For me, I treated it like an investment in myself. I actually found it fun, like a challenge. The assignments were a lot, but they were all worth it. Peace of Pi gives you flexibility, accountability, and all the resources you could possibly need…you just have to use them.
One of the most helpful parts of the program was the way they have you take full practice tests, then review everything you got wrong and right. Even the questions I got right by guessing, I learned why they were right. That pattern recognition made me feel confident going into every new test.
Looking back, I can honestly say I wouldn’t have achieved what I did without Peace of Pi. Beyond just the score, it gave me confidence and peace of mind. Knowing I worked hard and earned that 1480 completely changed my mindset. I’m proud of myself, and I know that every hour I spent on those Zooms paid off. Peace of Pi truly changed my high school journey, and my future!
