+100 on the SAT Math!

I never thought I could even reach a 1300, so surpassing it meant the world to me.

I had taken the SAT twice prior to joining Peace of Pi, and my math score actually went down the second time. I was really frustrated because I knew I had learned all the material at some point, but it had been years since I last saw those topics, and studying on my own just wasn’t working. The concepts I tried to learn independently never seemed to match what was actually on the practice tests, and I felt stuck.

When I started with Peace of Pi, I wasn’t sure what to expect from the virtual group learning experience, but it ended up being really beneficial. Our tutor always took the time to explain problems we didn’t understand, and the smaller group setting meant we got the attention we needed. I liked that the tutors were supportive, kept us on track, and adjusted to our needs. The program was rigorous, but it paid off—I improved my math score by 100 points, from 550 to 650, and my overall score reached 1320. I never thought I could reach 1300, so surpassing it meant the world to me. I now feel more confident about getting into the colleges I want.

If you’re on the SAT prep journey, my advice is to stick to your homework plan and try not to fall behind. It can be tough to catch up, but it’s worth it in the end. I’m so grateful for everything I learned at Peace of Pi!
