+100 on the SAT Math!
“I appreciated that the tutors were close to my age, making it easier to relate and communicate.“
Before joining Peace of Pi, I knew my SAT was approaching, but I kept postponing my studies due to schoolwork and other commitments. I realized I needed structured guidance to stay on track. A neighbor recommended Peace of Pi after his children had a positive experience, so I decided to give it a try.
Math had always been a strong subject for me, especially algebra. However, I took geometry online, which left me with a weaker foundation in that area. This gap became evident during SAT prep, as I struggled with geometry questions and more advanced math topics. I needed a refresher and a strategy to approach the SAT’s unique question styles.
Initially, I was apprehensive about virtual learning, recalling challenges from previous online courses. However, Peace of Pi’s virtual setup exceeded my expectations. The interactive Zoom sessions allowed me to ask questions and engage with tutors effectively. Although the four-hour sessions were intense, the structured environment and ample practice problems helped me grasp the material.
I appreciated that the tutors were close to my age, making it easier to relate and communicate. Their understanding of our generation’s perspective made the learning process more comfortable. While transitioning between tutors initially caused some confusion, it ultimately matched me with peers at a similar skill level, enhancing my learning experience.
Balancing the workload was challenging, especially with my involvement in the IB program and basketball. The course demands discipline, but for those ready to put in the effort, it’s worthwhile. The tutors provided structured guidance, and the group environment fostered a supportive learning atmosphere.
Thanks to Peace of Pi, my math score improved by 100 points, boosting my confidence as I prepare for future tests. I plan to focus on enhancing my English score next. For students considering SAT prep, my advice is to stay disciplined and trust the process. The hard work pays off when you see your improved scores.
