+80 points on the SAT Reading!

“Everything is structured in the most efficient way to help you succeed and the tutors are there to support you the entire time!”

Before Peace of Pi, I hadn’t really started prepping for the reading portion of the SAT. I was super focused on math first, and Peace of Pi was actually the first SAT tutoring I ever tried. I started with their math prep and was really impressed by how organized and supportive everything was. The course was structured in a way that made it easy to follow, and the tutors were so friendly and helpful. So when it came time to start prepping for reading, I knew I wanted that same experience again.

One of the biggest struggles I had before tutoring was not really knowing what the questions were asking. This was the case especially with the reading section, where the wording can be confusing. I’d second-guess whether to pick the short answer or the long one and just felt unsure. Even in math, I didn’t always know where to start because of how the questions were worded. But in Peace of Pi, they really helped break it all down.

At first, I was kind of scared it would be overwhelming. They give you homework every day, and I thought I might fall behind. But it wasn’t like that at all. The tutors helped me plan out my schedule and pace the assignments so I was doing the same amount each day. That consistency really helped me stay on track and not feel stressed.

The virtual group learning environment was actually great. I was a little nervous about the reading course specifically, because explaining how I got to certain answers in reading is harder than in math, sometimes you just pick what feels right. But the tutors were super encouraging and really pushed us to think more deeply about why we chose certain answers. I feel like I learned how to understand the questions better overall.

What helped me the most was the repetition — doing the same types of problems, reviewing why I got them wrong, and taking weekly practice tests. It wasn’t just about doing the work, it was about learning from it. That constant review really made a difference.

If you’re thinking about doing Peace of Pi, just know you have to be ready to put in the effort. It’s a lot of work, but it’s all worth it. Everything is structured in the most efficient way to help you succeed  and the tutors are there to support you the entire time!
