+110 points on the SAT Math!

The course helped me improve in ways I didn’t think were possible

Before joining Peace of Pi, I knew I needed help with my math skills, especially after seeing my PSAT score. I’ve always been a good math student, but I started to realize I was struggling with things I hadn’t seen in a while, like Algebra 1 and Geometry. It was tough because I remembered the material, but the wording of the questions confused me. I knew I could do better, but I wasn’t sure how to study for it on my own.

I wanted to improve my score not only for myself but to stand out for college applications and increase my chances of getting into a better school. I reached out to a senior friend who recommended Peace of Pi, and after hearing her success, I decided to give it a try. The prep course helped me a lot in ways I didn’t expect.

The biggest thing I struggled with was timing and the way SAT questions were worded. I would get to the math section and feel so exhausted from the reading section that I just couldn’t focus. After taking the course, though, I felt so much more prepared. I didn’t feel tired during the math section of the actual SAT, and that made a huge difference in my performance.

I wasn’t sure what to expect from virtual group learning, especially since I struggled with online school during the pandemic. I was afraid I wouldn’t be able to concentrate, but Peace of Pi’s virtual environment was a lot more engaging than school ever was. The tutors were young and relatable, which made the learning atmosphere less intimidating. They joked around when necessary, and I didn’t feel like I was being forced to keep up with a “grown-up” persona. It was much easier to ask questions, whether in the chat or out loud, and that helped me feel more comfortable asking for help when I needed it.

Managing the workload was tough, especially since I had two extracurriculars and was preparing for finals, but I pushed through. At first, it was difficult to keep up with everything, but as I progressed through the course, I got better at balancing my schedule. The course required a lot of work, but it was worth it. It really helped me stay focused on my goal of improving my score.

I saw an improvement of 110 points in math, from a 570 on my PSAT to a 680 on my SAT, and I couldn’t be happier. I feel so much more confident now. If I take the SAT again, I know what to expect, and I’m not worried anymore.

I would definitely recommend Peace of Pi to other students, but it’s important to know that it requires dedication and a willingness to put in the work. If you have a busy schedule, it might be tough, but if you can manage it, the results are worth it. The course helped me improve in ways I didn’t think were possible, and I’m so glad I made the investment. I feel much more confident in my ability to do well on future tests and in my college applications.

If you’re about to start the SAT prep journey, my advice is to plan ahead and stay on top of your schedule. Make sure to get enough sleep and stay focused on your goals. You’ll get the results you want if you put in the effort.
