“The group dynamic made the experience so much more effective than one-on-one tutoring!”
Prior to joining Peace of Pi, I was stuck. My math score on the SAT wasn’t where I needed it to be, and I knew it wouldn’t get me into the universities I was aiming for.
I’d tried working with a tutor before—a really smart guy from Princeton—but I realized that being knowledgeable and being able to teach effectively are two very different things. I was missing the foundations I needed to succeed, and it felt like I was just spinning my wheels.
When I started the course, I wasn’t sure how the virtual group setting would work. I thought it might feel like remote school during COVID, but it was nothing like that. The sessions were engaging and collaborative. Not only did I learn from the tutor, but I also got to hear other students’ perspectives, which helped me understand concepts better. The group dynamic made the experience so much more effective than one-on-one tutoring.
The program isn’t easy. It’s intense and requires real effort…but that’s what makes it work. Peace of Pi pushes you to give it your all, and if you’re willing to work hard, the results will come. My math score improved by 140 points, jumping from a 610 to a 750, and my overall score reached a 1440. That’s something I never thought I’d achieve before joining this program! It’s taken a huge weight off my shoulders and given me the confidence I needed for my college applications.
To any student considering Peace of Pi: don’t shy away from the challenge. The four-hour sessions might sound daunting, but they fly by because you’re constantly engaged. It’s not boring—it’s productive, and the progress you make is worth every minute. Trust the process, stay focused, and remember that hard work pays off. I couldn’t have done it without Peace of Pi.
