+160 on the SAT Math!

“When you have a positive mindset and commit to each step, you’ll end up proud of what you accomplish. I definitely am!”

When I first took the PSAT, I wasn’t scoring as high as I needed to, especially since the colleges I’m aiming for look for scores around 1300-1400, not the 1100 I initially had. My mom signed me up with Peace of Pi because my sister had done it and seen great results, so I thought, why not try it out?

Before the course, I’d never done any test prep, and my strength wasn’t really in the SAT’s types of math questions, like linear equations. My biggest struggle was timing. But with Peace of Pi, I got used to the format, and I actually ended up enjoying the virtual group learning. I’ve recommended it to friends too, especially because I felt supported the whole way. The tutors kept us accountable, which helped me stay focused.

One of the best things was the homework. It’s a lot, and honestly, it was a pain sometimes, but it really did help me improve my score. I went from a 560 to a 740 in math—a 180-point jump! Now, when I tell people I got a 1440 overall, they’re so impressed, and I feel like all my hard work was worth it. I know that having this score opens up so many college options for me.

To other students, I’d say that this journey isn’t easy. I know how discouraging it can feel when friends get high scores without studying. I used to think a score like 1440 would only happen for me through luck or super-scoring. But I put in the work and got there in the end! When you have a positive mindset and commit to each step, you’ll end up proud of what you accomplish. I definitely am!
