+200 points on the SAT Math!
“Peace of Pi completely changed the way I understood SAT math.”
When I first started hearing about the SAT during my sophomore year, I decided to take a practice test just to see where I stood. I scored around a 590, and even though I tried doing some practice over the summer, I realized I didn’t really understand what I was doing wrong or how to fix it. Math had always been one of my stronger subjects in school, but SAT math just didn’t click for me at all.
At the beginning of my junior year, I kept hearing people talk about Peace of Pi and how much it helped them improve. I decided to give it a try, and honestly, it was one of the best decisions I’ve made. I started the program fresh. No other tutoring. No structured self-study. Peace of Pi completely changed the way I understood SAT math.
One of my biggest struggles before the program was timing. Even when I understood the questions, especially in the second module, I would run out of time and miss several problems. After going through Peace of Pi, that completely changed. On test day, I actually had time left over in both modules to go back and review my answers, which was something I never thought would be possible for me.
Going into the program, I was a little intimidated by the idea of four-hour virtual Zoom classes. It sounded overwhelming at first, but once I started, I realized how manageable—and even enjoyable—it was. I had a great group, and my tutors were close to my age, which made the experience feel more relaxed and supportive. We could talk through problems together, ask questions freely, and I never felt alone or intimidated. The long sessions also helped build my mental stamina, which made sitting through the real SAT feel much easier.
I loved all of my tutors and felt they were extremely qualified. Because they had recently gone through the same process themselves, they truly understood what we were dealing with and how to explain things in a way that made sense. I also really appreciated the constant support outside of class. The WhatsApp group made it easy to ask questions anytime, whether it was about homework, a specific problem, or just needing clarification. Someone was always there to help.
The homework structure was one of the most helpful parts of the program for me. Having clear, individualized homework lists kept me on track and accountable. The video explanations were also incredibly useful. If I didn’t understand a written solution, I could watch a detailed walkthrough and it would usually click right away. I also attended all of the cram review sessions, and they made a huge difference. Revisiting material after some time had passed helped reinforce concepts that ended up showing up on the actual test.
In the end, my hard work really paid off. I earned a 790 in SAT math, improving by 140 points. That score completely changed how I see my college options. Now that my math score is where I want it to be, I can focus on reading and super-scoring, and I’m considering colleges I never would have thought were possible before.
Even though the workload was intense and required sacrifices, it was 100% worth it. I would do it all over again without hesitation. I’ve already recommended Peace of Pi to so many people, because the results truly reflect the effort and support behind the program.
One thing that meant a lot to me personally was the support I received even after the course officially ended. My SAT test date was unexpectedly delayed, which was extremely stressful, but my tutors and Renan continued to support me, answer questions, and check in on me anyway. That level of care showed me that Peace of Pi genuinely cares about their students beyond just the program itself.
My advice to other students is simple: you get what you put in. If you’re willing to put in the time, effort, and sacrifice, Peace of Pi gives you everything you need to succeed. I’m incredibly grateful for the experience and the results it helped me achieve.
