“Peace of Pi is a five-star-service! Every tutor is trained very well and knows exactly how and what to teach their students. There wasn’t one question I had that didn’t receive a good response that I could understand.”
Read MoreI was having trouble improving my SAT math score through self-studying. Understanding the material was difficult and the SAT Prep books didn’t explain concepts well enough. I only learned why my answers were wrong but never how to solve them correctly or in a simpler way. When I tried a private tutor, I felt as if he wasn’t teaching me the basics I needed to know to do well on future problems. Not to mention, it was hard to put in the time when providing SAT Scores wasn’t necessarily a requirement for most college applications.
I heard about POP from a friend who worked with them and ended up improving her score from a 600 to a 790. I was at a point where my score wouldn’t improve that much when I took the exams which caused me to get stressed out and less motivated to continue studying. I took my friend’s word that enrolling in the May/June Prep Course would be a good decision, and they were absolutely right! At first, I was a bit skeptical just because I normally learn better in a physical environment. However, it ended up being way better than I expected. The learning is the same and the tutors are still on top of you when it comes to paying attention and being interactive. It was also more convenient to go home and do the classes then having to drive somewhere.
When I heard that I was going to be in a group, I was scared because I didn’t want to seem like I didn’t know much. I don’t like to do things wrong and even more so in front of others. However, you are put into groups with kids who have a similar skill set as you so everyone, at some point in time, got questions wrong and were called upon to go through the problem. I also found out that the environment is a lot more friendly than expected. No one’s really judging you if you got a question or two wrong and even if you are getting questions wrong while others aren’t, you’re simply put into a new group.
Peace of Pi is a five star service! Every tutor is trained very well and knows exactly how and what to teach their students. There wasn’t one question I had that didn’t receive a good response that I could understand. When I lacked a bit of skill on a certain subject, I was given more practice in order to improve on it because your tutors make note of what you get right and wrong. Everything is well organized for your benefit.
With the score of 650 that I earned from taking the May/June Prep Course, I’m now able to apply to my dream school without having to worry that my SAT score is too low for me to be considered. Peace of Pi has helped me not only achieve a score that I thought I wasn’t capable of, but also taught me math skills that benefit me in my regular high school math courses. Remembering certain math concepts has always been a struggle of mine but after all the homework and lessons that I took, I can now say in all honesty that I am a math wizard. This couldn’t have been done without Peace of Pi . All I have to say is thank you!!
