My name is Ilana Croitorescu, and I’m an 11th grader at Dr. Michael Krop High School. I started taking the SAT back in August and quickly realized my scores weren’t improving. It was frustrating, and I knew I had to change my approach if I wanted to succeed. I had been doing one-on-one tutoring, but it wasn’t giving me the results I was aiming for. I knew I could achieve a higher score, so I started looking for a new program.
That’s when I found out about Peace of Pi from my friends. They had taken the course for the October and November SATs and none of them scored below a 730 in math, with one even getting a perfect score. Hearing that, I knew I had to sign up.
The course wasn’t easy, but it was worth it. The tutors are amazing at explaining the material, but more than that, it’s about dedication and practice. The weekly assignments were a lot, but they really made a difference. I quickly learned that studying for the SAT isn’t just about understanding the material—it’s about consistent practice. The online group environment was surprisingly interactive, and even though I wasn’t sure about learning online at first, I ended up learning a lot.
My main tutor, Cori, was incredible. She kept us engaged and made sure we were always participating. Thanks to Peace of Pi, I was able to improve my math score by 90 points, reaching a 690, which was exactly what I was hoping for. This score has opened up more opportunities for me when it comes to college applications. The SAT can be challenging, but with the right preparation and mindset, you can achieve the results you want.
