+170 points on the SAT Math!

“What stood out immediately with Peace of Pi was the structure. The course went through every unit I needed, and it made things click in a way that previous tutoring hadn’t.”

I decided to join Peace of Pi after realizing that the progress I was making with other tutoring just wasn’t enough. Math has always been one of my strongest subjects, but I still struggled on the SAT. A big part of that was forgetting older material (like algebra I’d learned way back in 8th grade) and also just the way the questions were phrased. I’d get tripped up even though I understood the concepts.

What stood out immediately with Peace of Pi was the structure. The course went through every unit I needed, and it made things click in a way that previous tutoring hadn’t. The classes are four hours long, which sounds intense, but they actually flew by. My tutor made it engaging and fun. We’d work hard, but there was also time to laugh and connect. And because they called on us to answer every single question, it kept me fully focused and helped me fix my mistakes in real time.

I was a little worried at first about it being virtual and in a group setting. But once I saw we were placed in small breakout groups of 3-4 students at the same level, those worries disappeared. The tutors didn’t just teach, they stayed on top of everything. If I skipped a homework assignment or was falling behind, they were texting me, keeping me accountable, and helping me stay organized. That level of attention made a huge difference for me.

Peace of Pi isn’t a shortcut…it’s a lot of work! But if you put in the time and follow the schedule they give you, you’ll see results. I went from a 470 in math to a 640: a 170-point improvement. And I’m not done yet!

I’m continuing prep this summer to push even higher, and I’m aiming for 700+ in math to help me reach top scholarship thresholds like Bright Futures. I’ve already hit 1200 overall, and with my reading score still climbing, I’m confident I’ll get there.

What helped me the most were the homework videos and especially the live reviews at the end of the course. I tend to forget things over time, so those review sessions were key in keeping everything fresh before test day.

If you’re serious about improving your score and willing to put in the effort, I’d recommend Peace of Pi 100%. My advice: start early. I moved to the U.S. in 10th grade and didn’t realize how soon SAT prep really starts here. If you can begin after your sophomore year, that’s the best time to build a strong foundation and stay ahead of the pressure.

This program helped me stay motivated, focused, and confident, and it gave me the tools to reach my goals.
