+100 points on the SAT Math!
“Peace of Pi is not magic…you have to put in the effort! But if you’re willing to work hard, the results are real. For me, the program was absolutely worth it.”
Before starting Peace of Pi, I had been working with another tutor who helped me a lot in English, but in math my score was stuck at 650. I didn’t feel like I was improving, and since I want to go to a top school, I knew I needed a much higher SAT score to strengthen my applications.
Math had always been harder for me, especially geometry. By the time I was preparing for the SAT, it had been years since I learned those concepts, and I realized I needed to relearn them and be able to do them quickly under test conditions. That’s why I decided to try Peace of Pi, since it came highly recommended.
At first, I was worried about how much work it would be. I had heard the classes were long and demanding, and I wasn’t sure I could manage it. But doing the program in the summer turned out to be the best decision—it gave me the time to focus without the stress of school. The four-hour classes ended up going by quickly because we were always actively working, submitting answers, and staying engaged. It wasn’t just sitting back and listening; you’re constantly involved.
I also really liked the virtual group setup. It was so much more comfortable than having to go somewhere in person, and it still felt personal. My tutors were excellent—definitely qualified and full of strategies to make the math faster and easier. They also stayed on top of me, checking in and pushing me to get the work done. That extra accountability was exactly what I needed.
What helped me most was the homework and structure. The schedule and constant follow-ups kept me from procrastinating. It pushed me to put in the effort every single day, and that consistency is what made the difference.
In the end, my math score went from a 650 to a 750. My overall SAT went up from 1360 to 1410, and with superscoring I reached 1460. That result gave me so much peace of mind—it took away the stress of test prep and made me feel like I had done everything possible for my college applications.
Peace of Pi is not magic…you have to put in the effort! But if you’re willing to work hard, the results are real. For me, the program was absolutely worth it. My advice is to do it in the summer if you can. Stay consistent, don’t skip the homework, and commit fully. If you put in the work, you’ll be surprised at how much you can improve.
