Maria Quercia
+100 in Math
“If you’re debating whether to choose Peace of Pi Learning, do it!”
My name is Maria Quercia. I go to Immaculata La Salle and I’m a senior. I realized I needed the services of Peace of Pi Learning after my first SAT attempt. Without studying, I scored a 1350, with a 720 in the reading section but only a 630 in math. My goal was to improve my math score to be competitive for the colleges I wanted to apply to.
I tried another tutoring service, but my score actually went down to a 1290 on my second attempt. That’s when I heard about Peace of Pi Learning from some friends. They told me it would be a lot of work, but worth it for the improvement I could have.
I signed up for Peace of Pi Learning, and it made a huge difference. Initially, the SAT math wasn’t my thing. Despite being ahead in math at school, I struggled with the SAT format and algebra skills. The transition from online school during COVID didn’t help either. However, my friends assured me that the virtual group learning at Peace of Pi would be engaging, and they were right. The four-hour sessions once a week were manageable, especially with the flexibility to complete assignments on my own time.
The program’s structure was incredibly supportive. The constant check-ins and quick responses to questions were invaluable. The assignments and practice exams were challenging but essential in helping me improve. I especially appreciated the feedback on assignments, which helped me understand and remember the material better.
Peace of Pi Learning’s approach was different from my previous tutoring experience. The material adapted to my level, progressively becoming more challenging as I improved. This targeted practice was crucial for my progress. The combination of assignments, class sessions, and practice exams created a perfect learning environment. Ultimately, my math score increased from 630 to 730, and my overall SAT score went from 1350 to 1450.
This improvement has allowed me to submit my scores to more competitive schools and feel proud of my achievements. The skills I gained have even helped me in my calculus class, where I now excel in algebra, a common stumbling block for my peers. Peace of Pi Learning has truly set me apart academically.
If you’re debating whether to choose Peace of Pi Learning, do it. It will help you, and you won’t regret it. The program requires effort, but the results are worth it. My advice to other students is to start preparing early, do as many practice problems as you can, and manage your time effectively. Peace of Pi Learning has made a significant impact on my academic journey, and I highly recommend it.
