+140 on the SAT Math!
“The money we spent on Peace of Pi just saved us so much more when it comes to college tuition.“
I had always considered myself good at math, but my SAT score didn’t reflect that. I had tried other tutoring before, but I never really paid attention. I just assumed I’d do well anyway. But when my score came back lower than expected, I knew something had to change…especially because I’m not strong in reading. If I wanted to qualify for 100% Bright Futures, I had to lock in on math. My sister had taken Peace of Pi and said it helped her a lot, so my mom signed me up.
Going into the course, I was nervous about time management. At SAS, I’m doing both college and high school at once, so my schedule is already packed. I wasn’t sure I could juggle it all. But the tutors were really accommodating and helped make sure I stayed on track with everything. I made time for myself when I needed it and dedicated specific hours to SAT math. It was definitely a balancing act, but totally doable.
I was also worried about sitting through four-hour virtual classes. That’s a long time, especially online. But I was surprised by how engaging they were. The sessions held my attention, and the ten-minute breaks made it manageable. Over time, I built up the stamina I needed for test day.
The tutors were amazing! Especially Marcela, who I found out went to UF, which is my dream school. She was super knowledgeable and made the material really clear. What helped me the most were the mock exams and study guides. It was a perfect review of everything we’d learned, and it really stuck with me.
Thanks to Peace of Pi, I raised my math score from a 640 to a perfect 800. That’s exactly what I was aiming for. Hitting that score pushed my total SAT above a 1400 and locked in 100% Bright Futures.
I would 100% recommend this course to anyone serious about improving. You have to be ready to work, this isn’t something you can just coast through. But if you give it your full attention, it’s worth every dollar. The money we spent on Peace of Pi just saved us so much more when it comes to college tuition.
My advice to other students? Don’t give up. Some topics will be tough—percentages definitely were for me—but if you stay focused, you’ll get there.
