+150 points on the SAT Math!
“With Peace of Pi, you get what you pay for—and more.”
I first realized I needed to prepare for the SAT when I saw how stressed the seniors at my school were about it. I didn’t want to be in that position when my time came, so I decided to start early. Peace of Pi was my very first SAT prep experience! I hadn’t tried any tutoring or self-study before this.
Math has always been one of my strongest subjects, so my parents encouraged me to get it out of the way quickly so I could focus later on improving my weaker area, reading. On my first PSAT, without any preparation, I scored a 630 in math. That showed me I had a lot of room to grow, especially since I hadn’t finished Algebra II at the time and some of the question types were unfamiliar.
I’ll admit, my biggest concern going into the program was the workload and whether the classes would feel overly competitive. But doing it during the summer made it manageable—I split the daily homework into chunks, and the structure helped me stay on track. Surprisingly, the competition actually motivated me. I liked pushing myself to keep up, and it made me ask to be placed in higher levels so I could keep improving.
The virtual group setting worked really well for me. I liked the small group sizes, and the classes were much more interactive than I expected. The four-hour sessions went by quickly because we were constantly engaged, solving problems, and asking questions. What helped me most were the live classes themselves. Being able to ask my tutors for help right away made a huge difference. One of my tutors was especially patient and helpful with probability, which had been my weakest area.
By the end of the program, I raised my math score from a 630 on the PSAT to a 780 on my very first SAT: an improvement of 150 points. Getting that score immediately took so much stress off my shoulders. I didn’t have to keep retaking the SAT like many of the seniors at my school. Instead, I was able to focus on other parts of my application, and it felt amazing to know the test was behind me.
Peace of Pi was absolutely worth the investment. I’ve seen friends go to cheaper prep programs and not see results anywhere close to mine. With Peace of Pi, you get what you pay for—and more.
You can’t procrastinate here—it all comes down to the effort you put in. But if you stay consistent, those three months of hard work will pay off, and you’ll walk away with the relief of knowing you’re done. It’s so much better than dragging out the stress of test prep all through junior year.
