+290 point improvement on the SAT!
“A 290-point improvement! That score played a huge role in helping me get into my dream school, NYU, through Early Decision.”
Before working with Peace of Pi, my SAT math situation honestly wasn’t great. I scored a 490 on my PSAT math section, and I knew I had a lot of ground to cover. On top of that, my sister had already earned a perfect score in math, so I felt real pressure to match that level and prove to myself that I could do it too. I had tried self-studying with Khan Academy, but it wasn’t effective for me. It felt random, and there was nothing pushing me to stay consistent or accountable.
Peace of Pi completely changed that. From the beginning, the program was structured, personalized, and demanding in the best way. They rebuilt my math foundations from the ground up and taught me how to approach problems properly, which had been my biggest weakness. Every student has a specific plan, and the team genuinely makes sure you stay on track. If you fall behind, they do not let you disappear. The tutors, Renan, and the entire team are constantly checking in because they truly want you to succeed.
I was initially nervous about the group sessions because it can feel embarrassing to get simple questions wrong in front of others. But that fear disappeared quickly. The environment is incredibly supportive—no one judges you, and you actually learn a lot by seeing other students’ mistakes and understanding how to avoid them yourself. The four-hour sessions also sounded intimidating at first, but they kept me engaged the entire time and helped me build serious test-day stamina. By the time I took the SAT, I was finishing math sections faster than ever.
The tutors are outstanding. They are overqualified, responsive, and genuinely invested in helping you understand every concept. I actually liked that they were closer to my age—it made it easier to ask questions and build real relationships. Whenever I was stuck on homework, I could message the group chat and get help right away. On top of that, Nan’s homework videos and detailed answer explanations were one of the most helpful parts of the program. If I didn’t understand something, I could rewatch the solution until it fully clicked.
The workload is heavy, and I won’t sugarcoat that. You have to be ready to commit a few hours a day and give it your all for the full 10 weeks. But I did the program over the summer, and I didn’t mind missing out on social events because I knew the payoff would be worth it. And it was.
I raised my SAT math score from a 490 to a 780. A 290-point improvement! That score played a huge role in helping me get into my dream school, NYU, through Early Decision. Because of that result, I can confidently say the investment is 100% worth it. If you put in the work, Peace of Pi will get you the score.
I would recommend Peace of Pi a 10 out of 10. It’s the best SAT tutoring program out there. I know students who tried other tutors first and saw their biggest score increases only after switching to Peace of Pi. If you’re willing to work hard and stay committed, the results can truly change your future.
