My name is Julian Morales, and I’m a junior at Riviera Preparatory School. Before I found you Peace of Pi, I was struggling to get my math scores where I needed them for college. My name is Diego Alvarez and I go to Belen. My journey with them began when I realized my potential in math wasn’t translating on the SAT. Despite being good at math throughout most of my life, I still struggled on the SAT. I was in Pre-Calculus at the time and had taken the PSAT, which didn’t reflect my true math capabilities. It made me doubt my skills and feel frustrated and confused. Math was my stronger subject so I knew I was counting on that to boost my composite score.

As I was doing my research on the contents of the SAT, I noticed that I hadn’t learned many of the topics tested. Taking the PSAT twice before the actual SAT was my wake-up call. I barely understood half the topics and knew from then on that I needed help. I tried to self-study for the first SAT and I scored a 590 in the math section. I wasn’t surprised by it but, deep down, I knew it could be so much higher. I was using Khan Academy and was told by my counselor that it was a great website to practice for it. I soon realized that it wasn’t for me and I would have to find another way. 

Everything changed when my cousin introduced me to Peace of Pi and started explaining to me how great Renan’s courses are and how they had the potential to help me immensely. I chose this option because I knew that if I did well on the SAT, it would mean I would spend less money on college expenses with merit-based aid like the Bright Futures Scholarship. It was an investment to sign up for both the May/June Prep 2021 and December Prep 2021 courses with POP. 

When I started the course, I  began to learn so much so quickly. The way they simplified and explained the questions made the SAT feel so easy. Peace of Pi’s way of teaching is very structured while still being engaging. If you need help on a specific topic, you can get a whole packet with videos on how to solve it. 

After taking the course my first time I went up 60 points. I felt motivated but still hadn’t reached my goal, so I didn’t stop there. I knew I just needed to try a little harder and keep persevering. I decided to take the course a second time because I knew Peace of Pi was going to be my only hope of getting the score I needed. The second time I took the SAT in December 2021, I was even more confident than before. 

As I approached the math section, I was getting excited. When I finally got to it, I was laughing. It felt like a walk in the park. There was no stress going through my head and I was smiling almost the whole way. In the end, I got the score I needed to get 75% Bright Futures. I started with a 590 and ended with a 690 in math. I felt so  relieved knowing I wouldn’t be needing to take the SAT or ACT again and had reached my goal. Renan and his team are the sole reason I was able to get to where I am today.

Hi! My name is Lucas Bonassi, I currently attend FIU and I tutored with Peace of Pi as a junior in high school. My SAT journey began before I had ever even heard of Peace of Pi. I had already taken one SAT and wasn’t satisfied with my performance on the exam. I was seeking assistance to perform my absolute best on my future exams and so a friend encouraged me to sign up for Peace of Pi’s March Prep Course. 

By this time it was the middle of my Junior year. I was balancing loads of exams, while also trying to study for the SAT. It was difficult to stay on track trying to multitask the constant load of homework and exams, while studying for an SAT and always trying to find better materials to learn.

I chose to work with Peace of Pi because in an interview with Renan before the tutoring started, I realized something. I realized that I had finally found an SAT mentor as dedicated to my success as I was.

Peace of Pi’s service is superior as I got to work with an instructor directly, asking anything I need at any time. Renan is extremely engaging because he speaks the language of teenagers, and makes learning extremely enjoyable with a couple of jokes here and there. And if you slack even a bit (don’t do it), you’ll have him buzzing your phone to get back on track. The materials and questions provided are also up-to-date and extremely vital when trying to study for the SAT.

I’m Lily Glover, a senior at Pike County High School in Georgia. I realized I needed extra help when my SAT practice tests weren’t showing any progress. My scores just weren’t improving. Back in ninth grade, I took an SAT for dual enrollment, but my scores weren’t what I needed if I wanted to get into the schools I planned on applying to. 

In my junior year, I stumbled upon Peace of Pi at a summer camp. I became friends with a girl named Manu who had used their program to get into her dream school. She had so many good things to say and convinced me to look into it, and I’m so glad she did!

Describing the program, I’d say it’s hard work, but it really pays off. Peace of Pi provides so much material, and each assignment is worth every minute spent doing it. My motivation came from wanting to feel confident applying to any school without worrying about my SAT scores holding me back. The program was amazing at simulating the actual test questions. I learned that doing every single assignment helped—yeah, even the challenging ones. My name is Sophia Vieira, and I attend Florida Christian School as a senior. My SAT score had not been getting any better, and I struggled with self-motivation and accountability. What really intrigued me at first about Peace of Pi’s method was that they  insisted on texting students daily to keep them motivated to complete their assignments. 

I learned about Peace of Pi Learning through recommendations on social media and from friends. I had taken the SAT a couple of times and attempted self-study for a week, but my scores weren’t improving. I had the realization in my senior year, right before the summer ended, that I needed to get my act together for college applications, especially when I saw the high score requirements for the colleges I was interested in, like UF. At that time, my score was only 1150, and I was determined to stand out.

Hi, I’m Matthew Vina, a rising senior at Belen Jesuit. The decision to seek help from Peace of Pi Learning came from my bad experience with another tutoring program  Despite months of dedication to the other program, my test scores remained the same. Frustrated and realizing the need for a more efficient approach, I made the switch to Peace of Pi Learning.

I was recommended by a friend who had significant improvements, so I decided to give Peace of Pi a try. The virtual group environment turned out to be even better than I expected, providing an engaging and constructive learning atmosphere.

Hello, I’m Leah Sternberg, a 16-year-old junior at CROP. I initially sought out Peace of Pi Learning after realizing my SAT scores weren’t improving with another program. Despite being strong in math, the specific SAT content threw me off.

A friend, Jamie, who had succeeded with Peace of Pi, recommended the program, and I felt it was exactly what I needed. My initial worry about the virtual group environment faded as the sessions turned out to be incredibly helpful, even if I got questions right.
