My name is Rodrigo Fernandez, and before enrolling in Peace of Pi, I found myself struggling with the math section of the SAT. As an 11th grader at MAST Academy, I realized that my initial PSAT score of 550 wasn’t going to cut it for the colleges I aimed to attend. Witnessing my brother’s significant improvement through Peace of Pi, I knew I had to take action to enhance my own score.
Initially, I was apprehensive about the virtual group learning environment, given my experience with online schooling during the pandemic. However, Peace of Pi proved to be a different experience altogether. The interactive sessions and supportive tutors made the learning process engaging and effective. I particularly appreciated the video solutions provided for each homework problem, which helped me grasp difficult concepts and apply them to similar questions.
Balancing schoolwork and Peace of Pi assignments was manageable thanks to the structured schedule provided by the program. I dedicated around two hours per day to the coursework, finding that the time flew by thanks to the engaging nature of the sessions.
The dedication of the tutors, especially Vicky, were essential to my progress and motivation. Their patience and support fostered a positive learning environment where I felt comfortable asking questions and getting clarity on stuff that confused me.
Ultimately, the results spoke for themselves. With the guidance of Peace of Pi, I was able to increase my math score from 550 to an impressive 720—a testament to the effectiveness of the program and my commitment to hard work.
This experience has taught me the importance of perseverance and the value of putting in the effort to achieve my goals. I now approach challenges with a newfound confidence, knowing that with dedication and the right resources, success is within reach.
To any student considering Peace of Pi, I offer this advice: embrace the opportunity to work hard and trust in the process. The rewards are well worth the effort, and with the support of Peace of Pi, you’ll be equipped to tackle the SAT math section, and the rest of your life, with confidence.
