Before I took the March Prep 2022 Course, the math that primarily appears on the SAT wasn’t my strongest area. That’s because I had already moved ahead to more advanced math classes that the SAT did not test on. I had forgotten a lot of basic math, which you need to know in order to do well on the SAT. . I was at a very low math score of about 470. My mom searched around, asking some friends and they told us about Peace of Pi. I can’t express how thankful I am that it happened!
I enjoyed working with POP because I could be at home and work on my SAT skills instead of going to a center. Everything was incredible. The team of teachers push you to be the best you can and reach your goal. The whole team made me feel welcome and invited. I was expecting the virtual learning experience to be less engaging on a personal level, like the tutors wouldn’t care as much about your own problems and just give a quick instruction. However, the virtual experience turned out to be very personal. The tutors made sure you understood everything about the topic at hand and wouldn’t shy away from giving you more problems to answer. They surpassed my expectations!
My expectation was that it would be a tough course that taught you everything you needed to know at a fast pace. And I did in fact learn everything I needed to, but I wouldn’t describe the group learning environment as “tough” since it was very accommodating to my specific needs and pace. This earned me a final score of 650 on the SAT math which is amazing considering where I began! The result was being awarded 75% of the Bright Futures Scholarship and almost a 180 point jump in math.
