+310 points on the SAT Math!
“My tutors were excellent… they were relatable, easy to communicate with, and clearly understood the material because they had recently gone through the same process themselves.”
My journey began when I took a practice SAT and did really poorly on the math section. That result made it clear that I wasn’t prepared, so I asked my friends what they were doing to study. Several of them recommended Peace of Pi, and after looking into it on social media, I decided to commit to the program.
Getting a strong SAT score was extremely important to me because I want to attend the University of Florida and qualify for Bright Futures. I knew that without a competitive SAT score, those goals would be much harder to reach. One of my biggest frustrations with the SAT was how oddly worded the questions were. Even when I understood the math, the way the problems were written made it difficult to figure out what they were actually asking.
Coming into the program, I was told it would be very intense, so I already had that mindset going in. Because of that, I made it a priority to stay on top of deadlines and consistently keep up with the work. I always prioritized Peace of Pi over my other responsibilities, and that approach made a huge difference. While the program is intense, following the structure and deadlines made it manageable and effective.
The virtual group learning environment was mostly a positive experience. Learning alongside other students helped because I could learn from their questions and mistakes, not just my own. While the pace occasionally slowed depending on the group, overall it worked well. The four-hour classes were definitely long, and staying focused could be challenging at times, especially when the material was difficult. However, I was still able to stay engaged most of the time, and the structure kept me moving forward.
My tutors were excellent. I had zero concerns about their age. In fact, I think it made the experience better. They were relatable, easy to communicate with, and clearly understood the material because they had recently gone through the same process themselves.
What helped me the most was the homework and the video explanations attached to each assignment. Being able to review concepts through video solutions and repeatedly practice the material made everything stick. That repetition was critical to my improvement.
The results were worth it. I earned a 760 in SAT Math, improving by approximately 310 points. That improvement meant a lot to me. It showed that all the hard work paid off, and it made my parents proud. It also confirmed that the investment of time and effort was completely worth it.
I would absolutely recommend Peace of Pi to other students! I’ve already recommended it to younger friends. My advice to anyone preparing for the SAT is simple: stay on top of the work, follow the deadlines, and communicate if something isn’t clicking. If you put in the effort, the program truly pays off.
